InStyle magazine’s Badass Women issue celebrates “50 women making the world a better place in 2021.”
About 20% work in STEM, including chemical engineer and attorney Vanessa Nadal, co-creator of the Fashion Law Institute at Fordham University’s first-ever cosmetics regulation course, which Nadal will instruct in its third year this spring. Nadal tells E100, “Now as a lawyer, I use every day the analytical skills I developed as an engineer.”
Nadal hopes her non-traditional path inspires other engineers to ignore limits. “Earning an engineering degree and pursuing an engineering career shows employers in any industry that you can innovate solutions.”
