‘Data Science 4 All’ partners hope new program will build diversity in tech careers

Miami Dade College, SoftBank and Correlation One are partnering to create more tech opportunities for people in underrepresented groups. As featured in The Job newsletter, Correlation One offers employer underwritten free programs in data science for 10,000 students in the next three years, with priority given to Black, Latino and LGBTQ+ people.

Students will get career coaching, and if they’re not already enrolled at Miami Dade College, they’ll earn credit toward a bachelor’s degree in data analytics. Students will tackle case studies and projects, including some from the SoftBank Group, which is spending $100 million on Miami’s tech push.
