Engineers and scientists make lives better every day.
But it’s not enough to bring a new product to market or put a better process into practice. It’s not enough to say what something does or how you made it. Corporate investors, customers, your team, your boss, the media, social media users and even your neighbors need an emotional connection.
When you talk about your work, give them hope and inspiration. Give them more time for family and friends, better productivity, a longer life, more mobility, more savings. Identify the reason they need your idea and describe why they’ll love it.
