Calling all kid scientists: New TV program reminds you to ‘stay curious and keep exploring’

If “unicorn slime” sounds like your kind of fun, tune in to the new Netflix program hosted by MIT-educated engineer Emily Calandrelli. Emily’s Wonder Lab gives children a fun way to learn scientific principles through experiments you can re-create at home, like making a tornado in a bottle, fluorescent paint and the aforementioned unicorn slime.

The show’s host is also a correspondent on Bill Nye Saves the World and an executive producer and host of Xploration Outer Space. She says she hopes that her work increases  general scientific literacy and inspires more girls and women to pursue careers in STEM.
