This engineering professor has the message we need now

COVID-19 has turned things upside down for millions of college students, professors and administrators. While about a third of undergrads have taken at least one online course, quickly transitioning to an unexpected fully remote learning experience can be unsettling.  

That is why we need people like University of Georgia engineering associate professor David Gattie.  

His 53-second message on the College of Engineering’s Facebook page demonstrates everything students, and nonstudents, need right now: encouragement, reassurance, support, social distancing, and a healthy dose of fun.  

He closes with a heartfelt, “Glad y’all are back. We love you. Y’all take care – work hard.”
