This year has brought more than its share of natural disasters to the United States, from a global pandemic, to record-breaking hurricanes, to historic wildfires.
Meeting challenges such as these requires an increase of STEM knowledge, STEM proficiency and the size of the nation’s STEM workforce. All of these objectives highlight the vital importance of the mission of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE): to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.
