The Council on Competitiveness promotes engineering as key to innovation and economic development. Council EVP (and E100 reader) Chad Evans took to LinkedIn recently to crowdsource recommendations for summer enrichment activities on behalf of a young aspiring engineer.
He uncovered an abundance of programs where middle and high school students can wield power tools, hack a 3D printer, conduct research or accrue flight hours in pilot training. There are programs offering college credit, stipends and scholarships. This list is a good place to start exploring options for your teen.
With opportunities like these, we’d do high school all over again.
