The Next Generation of Engineers

by The 100 Companies

Almost 20 million students are heading to U.S. colleges this fall, and those studying engineering have awesome opportunities ahead.

Agriculture is having a moment, from farms and forests to football fields. Check out UCLA’s master environmental problem solvers and say “cheers!” to fermentation science. At Illinois, engineering involves trains. Penn State students can design medical devices, and Georgia Tech students can study “deterministic radiation transport methods for obtaining in-phantom dose distributions.”

If you don’t know what all this means, know this: The next generation of engineers will make life greener, healthier and maybe even a little “hoppier.”
